Hand-dyed Paper Collage

I practice yoga and teach at the local YMCA.  In Sanskrit yoga means to join.  The collage of 2 people in a yoga pose holding hands exemplifies the meaning of yoga.  The edges of the canvas are wrapped with hand-dyed paper so there is no need for framing, and will come ready to be hung.

About Bernadette Chan

My husband and I retired to Kailua in 2012.  In 2016, I took a workshop in hand-dyed paper collage and greatly enjoyed it. As a result, I then joined a twice-a-month collage meetup group focusing on learning the skills of being creative with hand-dyed paper. During this time, I also then took up painting with oil. In 2017, I was introduced to pottery which allowed me a new means of art expression. My current focus is on ceramics and also creating collage pieces with hand-dyed paper. I get my inspiration from observing things that speak to me.
